Celadon sake cup
This cup was made from a beautifully translucent porcelain clay then glazed in my speckled celadon glaze. The glaze is made from oyster shells and local clay, while the speckles are granulated iron sand from the Salish sea in Washington. The iron sand doesn’t melt in the kiln, giving each piece a lovely, slightly bumpy quality reminiscent of a polished seashell.
For now, I only have one of these, so it’s totally unique.
Measures appx. 2.5” at the rim and 2.5” tall. Holds appx 4 fl.oz (125 mL)
Dishwasher and Microwave safe
