Tall Obvara Planter

$70.00

These planters are made using a very special technique called Obvara. Originating in Eastern Europe, each piece is pulled out of the kiln while its glowing red hot then dunked in a mixture of flour, water and sugar. The proteins and sugars in that slurry burn onto the surface of the pot giving each one a unique and unpredictable surface patterning.

Each piece is totally unique.

These are suitable to plant directly into, but can be used as a cache pot if desired. The clay is somewhat porous and will pull water from the soil.

The interior rim is 5.25” wide and the interior depth is 5.5”.
